At the recent Solution Vision show in Paris, France – CEDIP Infrared Systems, specialists in thermal IR camera systems, introduced a new version of their JADE UC camera, the J-330.

The J-330 camera comes with the flexibility of USB 2.0 digital output that allows users to display digital images at a rate of 60 Hz over the full 14 bits dynamic range, as well as to fully control the camera. Packaged in a sealed unit the robust J-330 is the perfect IR camera for automation and machine vision applications including paper production, glass inspection, food processing and plastics manufacturing.

news_07_14_04Benefiting from a sensitive microbolometer focal plane array sensor the J-330 infrared camera is able to offer high sensitivity, low response time and good image resolution at an affordable price. A special price deal is additonally available for Universities and Engineering schools who wish to acquire the J-330 for training and education purposes.

Using a focal plane sensor of 320 x 240 pixels, operating in the 8-12 micron waveband, the J-330 camera offers best-of-class performance with thermal sensitivity of less than 80mk and a thermal response time of less than 4 ms. Operating at up to 100 frames per second at full image, with output digitised over a complete 14-bits dynamic range the J-330 provides the resolution to detect even the smallest area of defect or non-uniformity. To extend the applications utility of the system a complete range of lenses are available.
