12 Thermographers Advance to Level II Certification

Date: March 26, 2014

Mount Laurel, NJ March 7, 2014 – Twelve thermographers from around the US recently completed Infraspection Institute’s Level II Certified Infrared Thermographer® training course. Recognized for providing the highest level of certification in the infrared industry, Infraspection’s Level II course focuses on quantitative thermography. The course was taught by Jim Seffrin, Director of Infraspection Institute.

At the conclusion of the course, Mr. Seffrin had this to say: “We are very proud of our Level II graduates. It is especially gratifying to see so many fellow thermographers willing to advance their training and skill sets beyond Level I.”

Infraspection’s Level II Certified Infrared Thermographer® training course covers advanced infrared theory, equipment calibration, error sources, cross-verification with contact thermometers, advanced equipment operation, use of windows and filters, assigning temperature limits and repair priorities, and quantitative report generation.

Referring to the course as “thought provoking and fun”, attendee Chris Duphily also had this to say: “The presentation of the course materials was always clear. The depth of information is second to none.” Equally impressed was Jordan Gleaton who offered the following: “Excellent course with invaluable information!”

Jim Seffrin concluded by saying, “Achieving Level II certification is well worth the effort. In addition to learning how to accurately perform non-contact temperature measurements, students of our Level II course also learn how to apply temperature limits to operating electrical and mechanical equipment. Such skills can help to improve a thermographer’s performance and revenue.”

Infraspection Institute is the oldest independent infrared training and certification firm in the world. Founded in 1980, Infraspection Institute has trained and certified nearly 10,000 thermographers worldwide. During their long history, they have shaped the infrared industry through training, technical consulting, publications, research, standards development, and software development.
