BuildScanIR Partners with Infraspection for Member Training
Randleman, NC November 1, 2006 — BuildScanIR has partnered with Infraspection Institute to provide infrared training and certification for its members. As an added bonus, BuildScanIR will be offering special incentives for members registering for Infraspection courses.
Greg Stockton, President of Stockton Infrared and BuildScanIR states, “We are very pleased to be working with Infraspection Institute. With nearly 30 years in business, Infraspection Institute is the most respected name for thermographer training and certification. Our partnership with Infraspection provides BuildScanIR members with access to world class training and enhanced credibility.”
Stockton adds, “The advent of low cost thermal imagers has helped to drive interest in thermographic inspections of buildings to an all-time high. Although thermal imagers have become increasingly user-friendly, thermography is not a ‘point and shoot’ technology. It takes a trained eye to properly diagnose deficiencies within building envelopes.”
According to Jim Seffrin, Director of Infraspection Institute, “Infrared inspections of buildings represent one of the most challenging applications in thermography. Our courses teach students to understand the dynamic interaction of building components and systems, weather, and building operation. We provide real world solutions that allow our graduates to work with confidence as they expand and grow their businesses.”
Seffrin also notes, “BuildScanIR Members may choose from regularly-scheduled open enrollment courses or convenient, web-based Distance Learning. With our Distance Learning Courses, BuildScanIR members can train wherever and whenever they want. Students who complete 32 hours of Distance Learning are eligible to take the Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer exam.”
To register for a course, BuildScanIR members may call 800-248-7226 or visit www.buildscanir.com. For course dates and course curricula, visit www.infraspection.com.
