West Windsor, NJ  July 20, 2026 – Sixteen thermographers successfully completed Infraspection Institute's Level I Certified Infrared Thermographer® training course held last week at Mercer County College. The four-day program provided participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to safely perform qualitative infrared inspections for a wide variety of applications.  The course was taught by Jim Seffrin, Director of Infraspection Institute.

At the conclusion of the course, Mr. Seffrin had this to say: “We very proud of our Level I graduates.  Every Level I class represents the beginning of a professional journey.  Our objective is not simply to teach someone how to operate an infrared camera, but to help them understand the science behind thermal imaging, recognize meaningful thermal patterns, and perform inspections safely, accurately, and with confidence."

Four days in length, the Level I Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® course focuses on the application of qualitative thermal imaging.  The course covers infrared theory, heat transfer concepts, equipment selection and operation, standards compliance, image analysis, and report generation.  Several applications are covered including electrical distribution systems, mechanical systems, building envelopes, petrochemical facilities, and low-slope roofing systems.
