Infraspection Institute Level I Courses Approved for RCI Continuing Education Hours
Raleigh, NC June 26, 2012 – RCI, Inc. has approved Infraspection Institute’s Level-I Certified Infrared Thermographer® training course for 32 Continuing Education Hours (CEH) for its members. Also approved for the same number of CEH was Infraspection’s distance learning course, Level I Thermography.
Continuing Education Hours associated with both of these courses may be earned in addition to those approved for attending Infraspection Institute’s annual IR/INFO Conference.
RCI members who complete either of Infraspection Institute’s Level I training courses will receive 32 CEH toward renewal requirements for the following RCI professional registrations:
- Registered Roof Consultant (RRC)
- Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC)
- Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC)
- Registered Building Envelope Consultant (RBEC)
- Registered Roof Observer (RRO)
“We are very pleased with RCI’s approval of our training resources” said Jim Seffrin, Director of Infraspection Institute and RCI member. “With interest in thermography at an all-time high, now is the perfect time for RCI members to add thermography to their list of services. Thermography can be used to detect a wide variety of building envelope defects including, but not limited to: energy loss, latent moisture, and certain structural and waterproofing problems.”
Perry Cabrera, Sales Manager of Infraspection added, “Despite advances in technology, thermography is not a ‘point and shoot’ technology. Although today’s thermal imagers are relatively easy to use, interpreting data requires proper training and experience. Our training courses enable students to acquire necessary skills and to benefit from the information provided by an accurate infrared inspection.”
Seffrin also noted, “Presently RCI members are required to complete up to 70 hours of continuing education per year. With a single Infraspection Institute course, they can satisfy a large part of their yearly CEH requirements. Students may take their training at regularly scheduled open enrollment classes or via our convenient, web-based Distance Learning Program. On-site training classes are also available for companies seeking customized training solutions.”
