Infraspection Training Partner Receives AINDT Approval

Mitcham, Australia July 8, 2014 – The Australian Institute for Non Destructive Testing (AINDT) recently named IPI Learning as the newest Approved Training Body for the Level I Certified Infrared Training course. IPI Learning has been conducting Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® training courses throughout Australia, Oceania, and South Africa since 2008.

IPI LearningBrenton Ward, General Manager of IPI Learning, stated: “We are very pleased with AINDT’s endorsement. In addition to certification by Infraspection Institute, our students now have the opportunity to obtain an IRT Category 1 certification through AINDT.”

Utilizing course materials licensed from Infraspection Institute, IPI Learning’s Level I course meets both international and local training standards. The course is taught by practicing thermographers who understand the real world challenges facing thermographers today. With decades of industry experience, IPI instructors offer a wealth of knowledge, and use it at every opportunity to illustrate the practical aspects of the principles they are teaching.

IPI Learning’s Level I is a five-day course for the application of qualitative thermal imaging for P/PM, Condition Assessment, Condition Monitoring, Quality Assurance, Forensic Investigations, and Building Sciences. The course covers infrared theory, heat transfer concepts, equipment operation and selection, standards compliance, image analysis and report generation.

IPI StudentsStudents are trained to identify and document thermal patterns caused by improper design, workmanship or material failure. Specific applications include: electrical distribution systems, mechanical systems, steam systems, refractory systems, underground piping, active thermography, building envelopes and flat roofs.
