CITA Offers Free Membership to Infraspection Grads

Date: August 06, 2014

Mitcham, Australia August 1, 2014 – The Certified Infrared Thermographer’s Association (CITA) is currently offering free Affiliate membership to all graduates of the Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® program. Individuals may apply for membership at no charge by visiting the CITA website.

news-08-06-14-photo2CITA founder, Brenton Ward, had this to say: “Since the 1990’s, infrared cameras and the practice of thermography have emerged as a valuable asset in the predictive maintenance tool kit. This specialized science has continually evolved with increasingly accurate sensors and more useful applications.”

“As the technology evolved it became apparent that a huge knowledge base was accumulating within the thermography community. It also became clear that thermographers who could perform meaningful, accurate inspections needed a way to differentiate themselves. The Certified Infrared Thermographer’s Association (CITA) was created to enable our members to access this knowledge base, and to provide them with a stamp of recognition for their professional qualifications.”

CITA provides a number of benefits for its members. The CITA online forum provides thermographers with a portal for accessing technical support, application support, thermographer registrar, opportunities for promotion and advertising, as well as keeping members up-to-date with the latest industry information and trends.

CITA’s certification program provides thermographers with access to ISO certification. Regularly scheduled training events provide additional opportunities for ongoing professional development.

news-10-07-14-photo2Mr. Ward adds: “Our objective is to enhance our professional credibility through sharing, learning and continual advancement of our profession through the mutual exchange of information. Our unification symbolizes the significant market presence that our graduates have both locally and overseas and serves to protect our standards of conduct, training and ethics in thermography.”
