New Turn-Key 2-Color Metis MQ Sensor System from PSC
Franklin Lakes, NJ August 2, 2012 – Process Sensors Corporation announced today the addition of new and improved features to their Metis series of infrared pyrometers. Developed for precision on-line process temperature measurement applications, Metis fixed-mount sensors provide non-contact temperature measurements and outperform standard analog pyrometers where accuracy, repeatability and wide temperature ranges are concerned.
Sales Manager, Scott Nagle had this to say: “The full-featured Metis MQ11/MQ22 series is the most versatile, yet unique product series PSC has developed to date. Countless industrial applications can be simplified by adding the turn-key 2-color Metis MQ sensor system to their operation.”
The Metis MQ11/MQ22 2-color pyrometer series has been enhanced with the addition of still more versatile temperature ranges and resourceful accessories. Offering a wider selection of temperature ranges from 300 to 3500°C, the new models of the MQ11/MQ22 series fill the needs of industry applications in high-speed ferrous and non-ferrous metals processing, semiconductors and ceramics as well as demanding research and development environments.
Featuring a choice of three innovative aiming methods that include through lens sighting with reticle-defined targets, built-in focusable laser pointer, and black and white video camera, the MQ11/MQ22 makes pinpointing the measurement area a simple task.
Focusable optics offer the advantage that the smallest spot size can be achieved easily at user sets. A miniature lens allows the user to install the optics in tight locations with an integral laser that provides precision targeting.
For the ultimate in simplicity, the Process Sensors Metis MQ11 and MQ22 models are available with Plug & Play enclosures. The enclosures are turn-key solutions to simplify systems installation, as all the wiring is provided. One of the Plug & Play enclosures comes equipped with a Touch Screen Display that allows set up of all the Metis sensor parameters and provides trend screens and optional solid state alarms. Custom modifications are also available.
The built-in peak picker function (maximum value storage) can be activated to compensate for interruptions in radiation and can be reset automatically, manually, or periodically using a preset clear time.
