Size Does Matter, & Exergen Corporation (Watertown, MA) is committed to solving requirements from applications in non-contact temperature measurement so that you can
fit IR temperature sensors in places that no other IR devices have gone before. Everything in this world is getting smaller from PC’s, to cell phones to automobiles. Original Equipment Manufacturers are looking for small sized sensors to control the temperature of their smaller rollers, heaters, products, fluids, etc. The graphics industry is manufacturing smaller sized printers that have many components tightly packed, and space is limited. Medical Equipment manufacturers are producing small sized dialysis equipment for home use which requires small sized components. The defense and aerospace industry have requirements for small sized Infrared Temperature sensors. The applications are endless.

Exergen Corporation is proud to introduce the smallest sized non-contact temperature sensor, the micro IRt/c. It comes in a small package (0.25” (6.35 mm) diameter x 1.0” (25.4 mm) long) is self powered, and provides large performance for a small price. The output matches a K type t/c over specific temperature ranges, output tables are available along with design notes for the OEM! The patented IRt/c’s are more accurate than any other IR temperature sensor, as they are calibrated to real world conditions, and have an ambient temperature coefficient that will hold accuracy with changes in ambient conditions. They are also the most reliable, being self powered, with no active electronics, they carry a MTBF of > 1,000 years.

The models available are micro IRt/c (1:2 field of view), micro IRt/c.4 (4:1 field of view), and
micro IRt/c.4SV (4:1 field of view, side view mount, with built in air purge). Micro sized air
purge is also available for cooling to 347 ?F (175 ?C) and cleaning, without adding much to the size or cost. The APJ-1, Air purge jacket is 3/8” (9.5 mm) diameter x 3” (76.2 mm) long). If size matters in your application, contact Exergen Industrial today!
