Minneapolis, MN – November 2003 Encouraged by very strong demand for its revolutionary FlexCam camera, which was launched in June 2003, Infrared Solutions Inc is pleased to announce the FlexCam Series of infrared cameras. The FlexCam Series introduces two new cameras to the FlexCam family, the new FlexCam T and FlexCam S. In addition the cameras are upgradeable allowing users to enhance their feature set as their requirements expand.

The two new infrared cameras feature exceptional image quality and detector sensitivity. Designed specifically to provide the answers for predictive and preventative maintenance personnel, the FlexCam T and S have the same revolutionary design and signature easy to use interface as the original FlexCam.

The FlexCam T features full radiometry with accurate temperature measurements, while the FlexCam S features exceptional image quality with a 5” high quality image display, a feature that is not available on any comparable camera and which is in large demand by users.

All the FlexCam models share the same rugged, lightweight and revolutionary ergonomic design. The unique 180° articulating lens joint and large 5” image display allow the user to easily rotate the camera lens and facilitates scanning of awkwardly positioned targets.

The powerful functionality of the camera is accessed through a windows CE platform, six button control panel, and inbuilt mouse that allows for exceptionally easy and intuitive use.

The cameras are designed around a maintenance-free uncooled microbolometer IR detector that produces a highly sensitive video-rate thermal image, which can be viewed on the camera’s integral 5” color LCD. Exceptionally clear imaging allows users to scan both moving and still targets and record subtle temperature changes in real-time. Advanced IR technology permits a range of options including allowing users to freeze the infrared image and retain in-field, non-contact, fully radiometric temperature measurements on all of the points on a single image. The IR FlexCam Series of cameras also offer sophisticated image storage report writing and analysis software options, which augment the camera capabilities.

According to John Goodrich, President of Infrared Solutions, “With the introduction of the FlexCam T and FlexCam S, the FlexCam Series has a camera for every budget. The creation of the FlexCam Series is a direct response to the demand from the market for easy to use solutions and for a range of camera options. The FlexCam Series represents an extremely significant advance in IR camera design and packaging. The emphasis on the Sharper Simpler Smarter design concept responds to feedback from the market requesting cameras that are easy to use in a real life work situation without compromising functionality. We are very confident that the FlexCam family will provide rapid maintenance savings and a very quick return on investment.”
